JLA: Justice For All (5th TPB, 1999) [Spoilers]

Includes JLA 24-33. Story arcs: "Executive Action" (the JLA faces a team of government-created super-beings under the charge of a rogue general), "The Bigger They Come..." (the JLA faces Amazo), "Crisis Times Five" (the JLA faces 5th-dimensional beings), "Inside Job" (mainly a Huntress story), and "Altered Ego" (white martians (?)).

Cool things:

The Justice Society.

"The Bigger They Come..." reminded me a lot of the Silver Age stories--there was a simplicity to it and a twist ending that just seemed a little retro to me. That was fun. (The story: the JLA is getting ready to fight Amazo, he kicks butt, they add more members, he kicks more butt and adds more and more powers, no one knows what to do--except the Atom, who figures out that Amazo has been programmed to have the powers of all JLA members, and if chairman Superman dissolves the League so that there are no members, Amazo will be depowered).

Questions:

Superman, Batman and J'onn meeting in Japan in (mostly) civilian identities to discuss the future of the team--I'm not familiar with the JLA's structure, but does this mean that it's not a one-member-one-vote sort of thing? That would make sense in some ways, since they're likely to have a large influx of new/less experienced members at times.
